MIM Has a Landmark Day- Signs Agreement with Tecnologico de Monterrey
--- ITESM Partnership Revolutionizes MIM’s Presence in Mexico--
New York City, NY (September 16, 2013) – On September 16, 2013, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), an International Business School in the heart of Wall Street in New York City, signed a “study abroad” agreement with Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM), a multi-campus university system throughout Mexico. Due to the size and scope of the agreement, it is expected that this agreement will significantly bolster MIM’s recruitment efforts in Mexico.
MIM’s world renowned In-Company Training Program (ICTP) will be a major focus of the program, as students of Tec de Monterrey will have internships at New York City companies, as part of their study abroad opportunity.
Marc Nelson, the Marketing Director of MIM, attended a recruitment fair at Tecnologico de Monterrey in February of 2013 and noticed that the demand was significant. As he mentioned, “Within three hours of being at my booth, we already sold out 150 of the marketing folders that we brought to the fair! With the large size and multi-departmental setup of Tecnologico de Monterrey, it took nearly 2 years to receive the signed agreement so we are extremely pleased with the outcome.” Indeed, Tecnologico de Monterrey is one of the finest institutions in Mexico and shares an international focus that is similar to MIM’s.
Even before this agreement, MIM had a strong presence in Mexico. In fact, since 2011, MIM a had a partner in Monterrey, Mexico with the Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) that sent students to MIM’s semester-abroad and summer programs . Graduates from UDEM have raved about the quality of the courses at MIM and just how much they loved their New York City experience.
The partnership with Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM) is just the next step for MIM’s growth in Mexico. MIM plans to attend Tecnologico de Monterrey’s 6-campus tour in February of 2014 to spread awareness about this groundbreaking partnership. With their tremendous size and presence throughout various cities in Mexico, it is hoped that hundreds of Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM) can study at MIM in the heart of Wall Street, the business capital of the world, within the next few years.

MIM International MBA Promotion- A Success at QS
---MIM Stands Out at QS World MBA Fair on Sunday, September 15th--
New York City, NY (September 15, 2013) – On Sunday, September 15th, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), promoted its 1-Year International MBA Fair at the QS World MBA Fair at the Hilton in midtown Manhattan.
With over 600 attendees at the fair, traffic at the MIM booth was constant throughout the day. The primary reason for this is that MIM’s International MBA, held through a partnership with EAE Business School, one of the top 5 business schools in Spain, holds significant advantages over its New York City competitors. In fact, there is no GMAT requirement, the duration of the MBA is only 1 year long, the tuition fee is only $24,000, and the MBA provides students with the opportunity to receive individualized attention from MIM’s expert faculty.
With a nice mixture of both international and domestic students, MIM met with a varied group of individuals: from those currently pursuing Bachelor studies, to working mothers, to top executives looking to receive an advanced credential.

From Brussels to Broadway: ICHEC NYC Summer Program a Resounding Success
---Students of Top Belgian Business School Complete MIM’s 2013 Summer Program --
New York, NY (August 5, 2013) – From July 1, 2013- July 26, 2013, 12 students from the ICHEC Brussels Management School of Belgium completed an interesting and innovative summer program in New York City, courtesy of the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM).
The program was a mixture of classes (4 days per week) and trips to popular New York City landmarks and corporate visits. In fact, MIM arranged visits to the NASDAQ, a New York Yankees baseball game, Bloomberg, and Dow Jones. As if that weren’t enough, the students also got to visit historical cities in the United States as weekend trips to Washington DC and Philadelphia were also included as part of the program.
While MIM is known for developing six-month study abroad programs with business schools and universities from across the world, MIM is becoming increasingly successful at hosting summer programs. In fact, MIM also hosted 15 students from the Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) that attended MIM from June 10, 2013- July 12, 2013.
Student feedback from the ICHEC Summer Program was quite positive. Patrick Taynton, the Business Development Manager at MIM and also the lead on the ICHEC Program from MIM’s side, also reported positive feedback. “The students from ICHEC were extremely professional and determined. Although the program included many fun trips, it was essential for the students to work hard as MIM provided a challenging curriculum for the ICHEC students”.
Indeed, students took two courses in Principles of Marketing and Intensive Business English during their MIM stay. This had a secondary benefit of improving the English levels of the students before they return to Belgium to finish their Bachelor Degree studies.
While their time in New York City was relatively short, it is clear that MIM provided the ICHEC students with memories that will last a lifetime.

MIM Receives ACICS Accreditation
--- Starts Path Towards Offering Title IV Funding--
New York City, NY (May 13, 2013) – On May 13, 2013, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), an International Business School in the heart of Wall Street, received accreditation from the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). This is the largest national accrediting organization of degree-granting institutions.
MIM’s flagship 6-month Diploma in Business Administration Program has been approved, and this initial grant of accreditation runs through December 31, 2016. MIM will now be a part of ACICS list of accredited institutions, which includes private postsecondary institutions offering certificates, diplomas and degrees from the Associates through the Masters. Colleges and schools accredited by ACICS are required to meet and maintain high standards of faculty qualifications, student retention and student placement.
Alex Stefan, the Academic Director of MIM and the lead on the project from MIM’s side, was pleased by the development. As he stated, “This is a great step for MIM, in our plan to one day become a US college and offer financial aid. MIM’s academics continue to improve every day and to receive the recognition from ACICS puts us on the right track for years to come.”
While the entire process took over two years, it is clear that receiving the accreditation from ACICS was well worth the wait.
MIM Presents at UDEM International Fair
New York, NY (March 22, 2013) – In late February of 2013, MIM presented at the Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) International Fair in Monterrey, Mexico. A proud partner of UDEM for the past 2 years, MIM presented its 5-Week Summer Program, which is expected to bring 15-20 students to its New York City school from June 10, 2013-July 12, 2013.
At the fair, MIM also presented its standard Six-Month International Business Studies Program and also its International MBA Program, which is popular with Mexican students because the degree comes EAE of Spain, another Spanish-speaking country. Marc Nelson, the Marketing Director of MIM, was pleased with the turnout and stated, “The UDEM students were extremely excited about their New York City internship possibilities. We will be sure to return to this fair for many years to come.”
MIM added to this year’s trip Monterrey trip itinerary by also attending the Tecnologico de Monterrey Fair (ITESM) on February 25th and 26th. ITESM is the largest business school in Mexico with 38 campuses throughout the country.Clearly, things are looking bright for MIM’s recruitment development opportunities in Mexico.
MIM Reaches Partnership Agreement with HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management

New York City, NY (February 18, 2013) – On February 18, 2013, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), an International Business School in the heart of Wall Street, has signed a partnership agreement with HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management of Germany. As HHL is known as one of the world’s most reputable business schools, the signing of this landmark agreement marks a significant advancement in MIM’s international collaboration efforts.
Founded in 1898, HHL enjoys top positions in acknowledged rankings, and is accredited by both AACSB and ACQUIN. Benjamin Chen Makes Generous Donation to MIM
---Former Boston University Student Cites MIM’s Practical Learning Approach--
New York City, NY (February 15, 2013) – In mid-February of 2013, MIM received a sizable donation check from its Taiwanese student, Benjamin Chen. Formerly enrolled at Boston University, Benjamin joined MIM’s Six-Month International Business Studies Program in April of 2012 and has used the program as a springboard for his future entrepreneurial and business pursuits. This donation was the first of its kind in MIM’s rich history.
An entrepreneur, Benjamin has his own automotive business and also actively invests in the stock market. He feels that MIM has helped him with both of these ventures, as the school has taught him aspects of finance and accounting that were new to him. As Benjamin noted, “The MIM academic experience is extremely hands-on. The school allows its students to learn through practical experience. MIM has been the perfect transition for me because my goal is to become a successful businessman and with the MIM experience, I feel as if I finally have the tools to get there.”
Raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Benjamin moved to New York City to pursue his MIM studies and has excelled to the fast-paced lifestyle of Manhattan. Coming from an environment at Boston University where lecture halls had 200 students or more, it is clear that Benjamin Chen appreciates the individualized attention that he received at MIM.
MIM is a school that has become accustomed to receiving positive feedback from its students. New Year, New Location, New Students
---MIM Hosts Grand Opening on January 7, 2013--
(New York City, NY) January 7, 2013- Another New Year at MIM once again brings thoughts of hope and a fresh start and for seeking out brand new experiences, particularly now that the school has moved into its new location at 110 William Street.
For new students of the Manhattan Institute of Management, the New Year meant the January 7, 2013 orientation session for the winter 2013 semester and the start of some exciting new beginnings. The orientation session initiated the new students into an academic, professional, and cultural experience that we hope they will remember for the rest of their lives.
Led by MIM Director, Alex Stefan, the orientation session covered essential topics for students:
immigration, academics, and cultural aspects of studying in the Big Apple. For over 80% of the students, living in New York City is a brand new experience, so Mr. Stefan covered all topics from student ID’s to how to get to MIM’s new location using the subway system.
As new MIM student, Magdalena Eichhorn of Germany, stated, “The first impression you get of MIM is that it is like a family! Everybody is so nice and helpful with every question you have. Everybody gives you a warm welcome and you feel like a family member from day one! The orientation was very well organized and it was good to get first impressions of the school and get to know other students. Also MIM does everything that is needed to help you find an internship you really like.”
For this start date, MIM welcomed 70 additional students from 12 different countries, mostly from Europe and Asia, including students from a number of our French partner institutions. This diverse group of students has now begun their classes and is already getting to know each other and buckling down to the hard work at hand! We’re sure that this semester will be another great one!
MIM Adds Patrick Taynton to Marketing Team
---Brings 12 Years of Business Development Expertise--
New York City, NY (January 3, 2013)- A new year has brought not only a new space for MIM, but also a new staff member in the form of new MIM’s new Marketing Representative, Patrick Taynton.
Patrick joins MIM from Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd in the United Kingdom, where he worked for over 12 years in a variety of sales, team management & communications roles. The knowledge and experience gained in this global corporation will make Patrick a strong addition to the MIM team.
Patrick’s focus will primarily be on international business development, expanding MIMs presence in Europe, growing the schools’ list of partnership institutions; as well as developing the domestic market for continuing education. He will also be involved in MIM’s student recruitment process and student liaison. Patrick is also completing his own MBA in International Business at MIM.
A UK citizen, Patrick has lived in New York City since early 2011 with his wife, Emma. As a keen sports fan, his interest in US sports is growing all the time including recent trips to see the Yankees, the Knicks and the US Open tennis final, which was a highlight of Patrick’s NYC stay as it included a victory by Britain’s own Andy Murray.
IBSS-MIM MBA Partnership Takes Form
New York City, NY (December 17, 2012)- As a the dawning of a New Year approaches, MIM is pleased to announce a partnership with the International Business School of Scandinavia (IBSS). This partnership will allow students at all of IBSS’ campuses to study for six months at any of IBSS’ campuses to then study at MIM for the final six months and receive a 1-Year International MBA from IBSS. Students also have the option of studying for one year at MIM in New York City and receiving their 1-Year International MBA Degree from IBSS.
As MIM is consistently looking to add high quality international partners, the partnership with IBSS is a step in the right direction. As Marc Nelson, the Marketing Director of MIM pointed out, “IBSS is a well-known school throughout Europe and the world. Their ASIC Accreditation shows that they are a high-quality institution and we look forward to working with them for years to come.”
The program is not only affordable for students, but also allows business students of IBSS to receive an internship at a New York City company through MIM’s In-Company Training Program. IBSS has along had an international focus and allowing their students to study in New York City will allow them to expand their global exchange efforts. Most importantly, it will provide their students with an experience that will make them more marketable when they graduate, and also one that they can remember for the rest of their lives.

The new location will be MIM's own space, suitable to accommodate more students, and allow for additional classes and flexibility. The new, state-of-the art facility will provide improved facilities including a student lounge and a computer lab. MIM will still boast its downtown Manhattan location, as 110 William is a 10-minute walk away from MIM's old location of 25 Broadway.
While MIM has been at 25 Broadway since 2006, the school looks forward to expanding its horizons and building a permanent home at 110 William Street. Undoubtedly, MIM will continue to provide students with a terrific academic, professional, and cultural experience in its new facility at 110 William Street!
MIM Graduation Ceremony Held for Winter 2012 Students
New York City, NY (June 11, 2012). On the morning of June 6th, a graduation ceremony was held at Ulysses Restaurant, which celebrated the completion of Winter 2012 students’ International Business Studies Program. While most MIM graduation ceremonies are usually held on the school’s premises, MIM chose to “spice things up” by having the graduation ceremony at a trendy NYC eatery.
Students received their caps and sashes and gathered collectively for MIM Director Alex Stefan’s speech and the handing out of Certificates. One by one, they were called to the stage to accept their certificates and take pictures. The room was filled with cheering students all in MIM colors (blue and white). The ceremony was followed with a group lunch.
MIM had over 50 students this semester from several partnership schools including ESCE (L'Ecole Superieure du Commerce Exterieur)and ISCID (Institut Supérieur de Commerce International de Dunkerque) in France, as well as UDEM (Universidad de Monterrey) in Mexico and UEL (University of East London) in the United Kingdom. In addition, MIM received students from various countries such as Croatia, Russia, Paraguay, China, Japan and Thailand.

UDEM and MIM: Things Heat Up For 2012 Summer Program
New York City, NY (June 7, 2012) - On the morning of June 4th, 13 students from Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) in Mexico arrived at MIM for their Summer Session Orientation, which welcomed students to the school and to NYC. This unique 5- week program allows for students to take several courses and intern at a NYC company all while experiencing the cultural richness that New York City has to offer.
MIM’s main programs typically range from 6 months to 1 year, however MIM’s flexibility enables them to create customizable programs that cater to the needs of their partners. For some students, studying for a long duration is not feasible. Short term programs give students the opportunity to study abroad, gain internship experience, and obtain academic credit without interfering with their academic year studies.
MIM is delighted to receive their first group of students from UDEM and looks forward to welcoming more students in the future for both short term and long term programs. MIM anticipates several UDEM students to attend MIM for the Six Month International Business Studies Program in the upcoming months.
- Arteveldehogeschool Seminar Hosted on April 24, 2012
New York City, NY (April 26, 2012)- On the morning of April 24th, a 3-hour business seminar was held at MIM, which hosted students and faculty from Arteveldehogeschool in Belgium. The day started with a speech from Marketing Director, Marc Nelson, who educated the audience about MIM and its programs. Participants then proceeded to a 3 hour International Trade and Business Seminar taught by Professor Dena Bateh. Over 50 undergraduate students attended this event, which examined important topics on international trade such as globalization, trade Barriers, and payment Balances. This kicked off an action-packed week for Arteveldehogeschool students, who also have visits planned to the New York Stock Exchange and Federal Reserve.
While MIM usually specializes in 6 month programs, through this event, they showed how flexible they can be to the needs of their partners. As MIM Marketing Associate, Ilit Gluska stated, “The trend from our partners appears to be shorter-term programs. In addition to the 5-week program that we have for the Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) and 3-day Executive Seminar for Romanian executives, the 3-hour seminar for this leading Belgium institution shows just how impactful even a short-term seminar at MIM can be.”
For business schools across the world that plan to have short-term visits to New York City, including an MIM seminar can make the experience more academically rewarding. MIM continues to provide big experiences for international students in the Big Apple.
MIM Graduation Ceremony Held for Fall 2011 Students
New York City, NY (March 15, 2012). On the morning of March 14th, a graduation ceremony was held at MIM, which celebrated the completion of the Fall 2011 students’ International Business Studies Program. After a semester of hard work and dedication, students were excited to celebrate and receive their well deserved recognition. A Speech was delivered by Marketing Director, Marc Nelson, highlighting their academic and professional successes, followed by Academic Director, Alex Stefan, and Academic Coordinator, Mariya Proyss, distribution of the Diplomas.
In his speech, Mr. Nelson pointed out that in addition to the academic knowledge that the students gained as MIM students, they also experienced many other events during their time in New York City. As Marc Nelson stated, “There were the Occupy Wall Street Protests and New York Giants parade, both of which show how the activities of businesses, including sports and entertainment ones, can touch on the various emotions of individuals.” On a more somber note, Marc mentioned the fact that the Fall 2011 students started their semesters one day after the 10-year anniversary of 9/11, and surprised some of the students with the tidbit that MIM was located in the World Trade Center until 2000. MIM’s staff mentioned that they hope that each student understands the importance of appreciating each day and each experience, especially the ability to better themselves through studying business in the financial capital of the world, New York City.
Once the ceremony concluded, students eagerly proceeded outside to take pictures with the Wall Street Bull, which to them has truly become a representation of not only business and NYC’s financial world, but their experience at MIM. All celebrations came to a close with a group Lunch at Ulysses, a nearby restaurant, where students reflected on their time in NYC and discussed their plans for the future.
This semester, MIM had students from two new partnerships: KEA in Copenhagen and ESG in France. We look forward to a building a strong relationship with both of these institutions for many years to come!

MIM Forms Partnership with Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP)
New York City, NY (January 16, 2012) – On January 16, 2012, MIM and the Global Association of Risk Management Professionals (GARP) formed a new partnership which has approved MIM as one of their training providers for the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) Exam.The FRM Exam serves as a certification that provides a higher credential in risk management and is exceedingly valued in the business world. According to GARP, this exam is gaining more popularity with time. “More than 26,000 individuals from 110 countries and territories across the globe have passed the FRM Exam, so you will become part of an elite group. Certified FRMs value the designation, with 82% preferring to hire a job candidate with the FRM designation over one without.”
For MIM, Finance and an International presence is nothing new. MIM is delighted to grow and expand their course offerings, with the collaboration of GARP, to further supply the tools and education needed for the success and future of their students. MIM is now offering a Certificate in Financial Risk Manager in New York City with the option of both in person and online classes in preparation for FRM Exam I and II. MIM Hires Danny Huang as Marketing Intern
---To Assist with Marketing Efforts in Asian Market--New York City, NY (January 20, 2012) – On January 20, 2012, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), welcomed Danny Huang as a new Marketing Intern to its staff. As Danny is a current MIM student pursuing MIM’s International MBA Program, MIM will count upon him to lead their push into the Asian market.
Fluent in both Mandarin and Japanese, Danny is a seasoned professional with an international perspective. Before pursuing his studies at MIM, Danny also studied English in Miami and later, at Manhattan Language.
Marc Nelson, the Marketing Director of MIM, was thrilled with the hire. Mr. Nelson stated, “I have known Danny for quite some time; since his days as a student at Manhattan Language. His work ethic, intelligence, and enthusiasm for growing the MIM brand throughout Asia will serve as tremendous assets to our school.”
While students of MIM have the opportunity to perform In-Company Training in companies throughout New York City in industries ranging from fashion to finance, for Danny, the challenge of growing an international school was the one that he was seeking. MIM Graduation Ceremony for Fall and Summer 2011 Students
New York City, NY (December 13, 2011) – On Tuesday morning, MIM Students and Staff gathered together to celebrate the completion of the Fall and Summer 2011 students’ business studies. Following the MIM tradition, students walked down the hallway in a single file wearing their caps and pins into a classroom where they were greeted by MIM Staff. Speeches were delivered by Academic Director, Alex Stefan and Marketing Director, MarcNelson, which recognized the students’ achievements at MIM and wished them the best of luck in their futures. Students received their certificates of completion, took pictures and congregated over a nice brunch celebration.
MIM continues to receive students from all over the world. This semester they had students from a new partnership with The University of East London (UEL) and looks forward to a strong relationship with UEL for many more years to come.
MIM congratulates its Fall and Summer 2011 students and encourages them to keep in contact, as MIM will always be their home away from home.

New York City, NY– On Friday, September 23, 2011, faculty, students and guest speakers joined together to celebrate the MBA class of 2011 at the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM). The ceremony began with students walking in a single file in their cap and sashes, down the hall into a room with an awaiting audience.
Academic Director, Alex Stefan, introduced the class of 2011 and gave an inspiring address to the audience. In his speech, he stressed the letters, “C.E.O.” to students, which stands for “Creativity, Enthusiasm, and Opportunities”- qualities that they have fostered while at MIM, but should look to expand on as they move further into their professional lives.
MIM President, Joseph Ohayon, then delivered an presentation in which he expressed that the students experienced many major events during their six months at MIM— an earthquake, a hurricane, and the 10-year anniversary of September 11, 2011. He also congratulated the students on their hard work and achievements. As he stated, “As you return to your countries and go out into the world, I am confident that you will succeed in whatever endeavors you do based upon your performance at MIM.”
The ceremony continued with Mr. Stefan and International Coordinator, Mariya Proyss, distributing certificates of completion to every student. Students sat in their chairs eager to hear their names called, and one by one headed to the podium.
This was then followed by Guest Speaker, Andrew Heller from Elmwood, who worked directly with an MIM student, Patrick Taynton, throughout his studies during the ICTP (In Company Training Program). Heller emphasized the importance of students’ hard work and willingness to learn and wished them great success in their futures.
The ceremony was then proceeded by a picture taking session and a group outing, where students and faculty headed together to celebrate over a nice meal at Ulysses, a restaurant nearby to say their last farewells.

MIM Makes Elite Addition to Its Team
---Names Ilit Gluska as new Marketing Assistant----
New York City, NY (August 9, 2011) – On August 9, 2011, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), welcomed Ilit Gluska as the new Marketing Assistant to its staff. In 2011, Ilit received her BA in Political Science with a concentration in Global and International affairs from Binghamton University, and studied abroad in Florence, Italy at Florence University of the Arts (FUA) for a semester.
Ilit (pronounced E-Leet) has also traveled to Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Israel, Jamaica, Nicaragua and Spain. In Nicaragua, she participated in a service learning trip partnering with the Albert Schweitzer Institute and Alianza Americana, where she helped raise money for education and donated supplies to schools in need. Her International experiences and relations will certainly contribute to MIM, as most MIM students currently come from abroad. Ilit is eager to work with current students and assist with providing future students with the opportunities MIM has to offer.
As Marc Nelson, the Director of Marketing for MIM stated, “Ilit Gluska will be a great fit to MIM’s multicultural team. In addition to helping us to expand our global presence, she will also strengthen the ICTP program of MIM.”

MIM and UEL- A Royal Partnership is Formed
MIM and the University of East London Sign Collaboration Agreement
In early 2011, most of the world was focused on the United Kingdom for the landmark marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton. During this time, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM) set its sights on the UK for another reason—a budding partnership with the University of East London (UEL).
The University of East London is a school that has 23,000 students from 120 countries and is devoted to international education much in the same way as MIM. As if the city of London and the school’s international focus weren’t exciting enough, the school will be the base of the US Olympic team during the London Olympics in 2012!
By signing a partnership agreement with MIM, UEL has provided its students with the “UEL Wall Street Semester,” which will allow them to study abroad at MIM in New York City for six months, starting on July 25, 2011. As further proof of their international focus, even the students of UEL that are participating in the program have international backgrounds, with students hailing from Thailand, Nigeria, and Luxembourg.
Daniel Stevens, an International Development Manager at UEL and a driving force in the collaboration with MIM had the following comments about the collaboration: “MIM offers our students of Business related subjects an exciting study abroad opportunity in the center of the global business capital of New York City. We are sure that the 6 month programme at MIM will enhance the employability opportunities of our students when they graduate, as well as help them to network, and develop academically and personally. We look forward to a prosperous relationship with MIM.”
Marc Nelson, the Marketing Director of MIM, was also very enthusiastic and stated: “London and New York City are two of the most dynamic business cities in the world. UEL’s international focus truly makes this partnership seem like a natural fit.”
While MIM’s past collaborations have been mostly concentrated in the areas of France and Spain, the partnership with UEL demonstrates that MIM is an attractive destination for native English-speaking students, as well.
Even though there may not be any wedding bells for this marriage, the partnership between MIM and UEL appears to be one that is destined for success.
MIM Springs Into Another Successful Semester in April of 2011
New York City, NY (March 18, 2011)- Students from all corners of the globe arrived at MIM in April of 2011 with many expectations of what their next six months would hold. Halfway through their program, it is clear that MIM has not only met their expectations; the school has exceeded them.
Indeed, the first few weeks of the program were a busy time for students, as they had to get accustomed to the fast-paced New York City lifestyle, square away their housing situations, take classes in Business English, and go on internship interviews. MIM to Exhibit at VESID Vendor Fair on January 26th, 2011

New York City, NY (January 24, 2011)- On January 24, 2011, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), a private higher learning institution committed to offering students a high quality, global business education, reached an Articulation Agreement with the New York Language Center (NYLC).
As Megan Brach, the Assistant to the Executive Director at New York Language School stated “We have students already living in New York who are looking to transfer to a college when they have completed their studies here. We also receive requests from students overseas looking for a language school and then further acceptance into a college to continue their studies.” Under the agreement between MIM and New York Language Center, MIM will now offer a conditional acceptance letter in partnership with NYLC. As long as the student passes a certain number of our advanced level courses, they are guaranteed a placement at MIM.
NYLC, which is headquartered in midtown Manhattan and has three other branch schools around New York City, aims to improve a student’s English level while MIM provides the student with a business curriculum and internship that will serve students well in their future career endeavors.

MIM Announces Plans to Offer Solar Technology Management Program
New York City, NY (December 15, 2010)- On December 15, 2010, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), a private higher learning institution committed to offering students a high quality, global business education, announced that it will be offering a Solar Technology Management Program, starting in January of 2011.

MIM Signs Articulation Agreement with Cottey College
A Significant First Step in the Domestic Market
New York City, NY (October 6, 2010)- On October 6, 2010, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), a private higher learning institution committed to offering students a high quality, global business education, signed an Articulation Agreement with Cottey College, a private, two-year all-women's college in Nevada, Missouri.

No TOEFL? No Problem
MIM Reaches Collaboration with Global English Academy
New York City, NY (September 28, 2010)- On September 28, 2010, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), a private higher learning institution committed to offering students a high quality, global business education, signed a collaboration agreement with Global English Academy, an ESL School located in Queens, New York.
As a school that prides itself on “offering the best ESL classes that New York has to offer,” Global English Academy will provide much-needed English training to prospective students of MIM that have received a low score on the TOEFL or haven’t taken the test at all. Alex Stefan, Director of MIM, said, “This is a nice step for us. So many students overseas do not yet have the required English level to enter the MIM program and Global ESL Academy will allow these students to improve their English level. It clearly makes good business sense for both of our schools.”
In helping the students to speak, write, and understand English fluently, Global English Academy has programs including Intensive Academic, English for Everyone, and most importantly for MIM, the TOEFL IBT Preparation. MIM currently requires a 550 (IBT equivalent-79) on the TOEFL.
Through this agreement with Global English Academy, it is clear that both schools are speaking the same language; doing what is necessary to help their students succeed.
MIM Names Alex Stefan as Director
Previous Director of International Programs at Bloomfield College Described as “Perfect Fit”
New York City, NY (July 12, 2010) - On July 12, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), a private higher learning institution committed to offering students a high quality, global business education, named Alex Stefan as its new School Director.
Previously, Alex served as the Director of International Programs for Bloomfield College (NJ) and was responsible for developing joint MBA programs, designed courses for their IT programs, and developed online training platforms. More specifically, Alex developed “1 plus 1 programs,” where students study overseas for six months and in the USA for six months, which is similar to the arrangement that MIM currently possesses with EAE.

MIM Launches New Website
New York City, NY (April 22, 2010) - In late April, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), a private higher learning institution committed to offering students a high quality, global business education, launched a new website aimed at expanding their reach to their target audience by enhancing the current MIM website in place.
As Marc Nelson, the Director of Marketing for MIM stated, “Our main focus was to replace the older design to give the site a modern and more sophisticated Web 2.0 look. Spring Semester Kicks Off
New York City, NY (April 5, 2010) - During the first week of April of 2010, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), a private higher learning institution committed to offering students a high quality, global business education, kicked off its Spring 2010 semester. Consistent their mission of providing an international flavor to students from across the world, this semester is once again global: with 61 students (44 undergraduate, 17 graduate) hailing from the Weller International Business School in France and 7 (graduate) coming from EAE in Spain.
Both of these programs involve the students getting the experience of a lifetime by studying in the heart of Wall Street in New York City. But it is not all fun and games. Students from EAE are studying at MIM to gain credit towards receiving their 1-Year International MBA Degree. As Milton Capps, a visiting student from EAE stated, “Studying in New York is one of the most valuable experiences that a student can ever be given. Receiving this 1-Year International MBA will help me find more meaningful employment once I graduate.”
Herve Ingaleare, the Director of the Weller Program at MIM, had the following comments:

MIM Receives BPSS Licensure
Opens Global School Up to the United States Market
New York City, NY (November 15, 2009) - In November of 2009, the Manhattan Institute of Management (MIM), a private higher learning institution committed to offering students a high quality, global business education, received its Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision (BPSS) School License. This means the school is now licensed by the State of New York’s Education Department and can now accept students from the United States.
Previously, the school was only able to admit foreign students and most often, students that were matriculated in foreign universities that MIM already had an established agreement with. Needless to say, this announcement is a landmark event in the history of MIM.
Joseph Ohayon, a Board Member of MIM, spoke positively about this licensure. “This is a day that we’ve been waiting a long time for. Since 1984, we have done a fantastic job of getting students from around the world. To be able to get students from our own backyard makes MIM an even stronger institution with a more global presence.”
For MIM, this means that they have to adhere to the strict guidelines that are spelled out by BPSS, the governing commission of the state of New York. For students, this means that even if you are an American, MIM can be the institute you choose for furthering your academic pursuits.
